Patch has a fabulous time with Brian!

On Wednesday Patch came home with me and met my mum and dad. Patch was very excited because we watched the football (England v Croatia). Mum made us go to bed at halftime. We were both tired from cheering the teams.

On Thursday Patch and mum dropped me at school in the morning. He played on my trampoline afterwards. He said it was great fun, but exhausting and he needed a big drink of water.

Patch came to mini tennis with me after school on Friday. He really enjoyed running after the balls. Unfortunately Patch wouldn’t give them up!

On Saturday my friend Alastair came to play. We all had a great time playing on the Playstation and the pinball machine. Patch is good at pinball!

On Sunday Anoushay and her family came for lunch. My mum made a yummy roast. It was so good that Patch and I had seconds! Later, we watched a DVD on Tutankhamen. Patch found it really interesting, and he learned about the Boy Pharaoh.

When Monday came around, I took Patch back to school. I wonder what Patch will do next.

Patch has a wonderful time with Lucy!

Patch was very excited about coming home with me on Friday. He met my mum and dad and little sister Jasmine – she thought that Patch was really cute.

On Friday night Patch snuggled down to sleep in his very own bed ready to get up bright and early on Saturday morning for swimming lessons.

On Saturday night Patch came with me for a sleepover at my friend’s house . He really liked watching X Factor with us, but he was tired the next morning because we all chatted until late.

On Sunday, Patch came with me to Sensation for Rachel’s birthday party. He liked sitting on the robot but he was frightened when it started moving. He was on it at the time

On Monday evening it was back to swimming lessons – I think Patch will be a really good swimmer, the doggy paddle is the stroke for him!

On Tuesday, Patch helped me with my piano practise.

Back to school on Wednesday.... I wonder who will look after Patch next week?

Patch spends the weekend with Miss Hulbert!

Well, what an exciting time Patch has had since arriving in Scotland!

He has met all the boys and girls in L3H and he is looking forward to going home with each of us in turn. I took Patch home with me this weekend and we had great fun. On Saturday we went to Perth for a spot of Christmas shopping. (I am trying to be organised this year) It was a very sucessful trip and I chose a present for each of my nephews. Patch was very helpful indeed.

Of course, Patch met my black labrador Luath. Luath thought Patch was a new toy for him to chew .... fortunately I stopped him just in time. Patch had a narrow escape!

All to soon it was time to go back to school for a new week. Lucky Patch is off to spend the week with Lucy. We can't wait to hear what he gets up to....

Here is a picture of Patch sitting on top of my bag waiting to go back to school - he didn't want to be left behind this morning!

Nessina on Holiday in Weymouth

Nessina went to Weymouth for a holiday with Chelsea and her brother, Eric, mum and dad. They met some friends there. On the day we got there, Nessina had a good time playing games in the amusement arcade. He had was tired at the end of it so had a good sleep.

The next day, we woke up early and went to the beach and a big outside play area. On Saturday night we saw Rory and his friends at the club. When we got home we had a nice cup of tea.

We went to the beach again, the next day. Nessina made some sandcastles and my Dad and his friends played volleyball, which was funny. After looking in the sea, Nessina thought it looked cold so didn't go in. We went back to the club and my dad and his friends were doing silly dances.

The next day was our last day so Nessina was sad but we still had had a great holiday.

Muhammed looks after Brunel

Brunel came to stay with me for a few days. We did lots of things together. The weather was great so we spent time outside in the garden on swing, the slide and the trampoline. After that we had tea and then played tig with me sister Aamira. Brunel played fairly and we all had fun. Before bedtime he had a turn on my PS2. It was a wrestling game and he did well for a beginner. In my house Brunel liked to sit on the red leather sofa!

Brunel goes to Piperdam!

When Brunel came to stay he had a healthy breakfast! It was one of my favourites – banana sandwich. We went to Piperdam for the day. It is a Country Club very near me and we go quite often. There is a big swimming pool there and Brunel had a dip but he preferred to lie on the sunbeds beside the pool. He looks very relaxed with his sunglasses on! When we came home Brunel and I went out to play in my garden. He was very good on the monkey bars because he is a bit of a monkey!

Brunel stays with Rebecca.

Brunel went home with me on the bus. When we got home Brunel helped me with my homework. When I was done, we went outside into the garden. He liked playing on the swing and the slide. While he was outside, he made friends with my dog Hugo and they had lots of fun together.

Brunel also met my goldfish Maxie, I don’t think he fancied a dip in his tank though! I even let him read my secret diary and no one else in my family has read it. We had so much fun that we didn’t notice that it was nearly tea time. We went and washed our hands and ate our tea. While I was having my tea, Brunel shared some tea with Hugo. Hugo decided he had enough and gave the rest to Brunel.

When I went to bed Brunel and I listened to a story read by my mum. We had a great time together and all too soon it was time for Brunel to go back to school. I was sad to let Brunel go but I know he is looking forward to spending time with other children

Brunel comes to my party!

On Friday, Brunel and I went to Angus and Euan's house for dinner and he had cheese and tomato pizza. On Saturday, Brunel helped to prepare for my party. Very soon, all my friends from school arrived and of course Brunel recognised many of them. He loved playing on the karaoke machine and he loved the chocolate cake and candles! He enjoyed himself and even went on the bouncy castle!

Brunel goes horse riding and meets Kirsty's gorgeous cats!

On Friday I took Brunel horse riding and he wanted to jump the jumps, but I didn’t think it was safe so at the end of the lesson he went on my pony instead. After that Brunel went to sit in the hay, it was so warm that he didn’t want to come out of it! Next he went on a tractor and he wanted to drive it home….. but I said absolutely not!

When Brunel went to bed, he met my sister’s teddy bear. At first Brunel was frightened of him, then they made friends.

On Saturday I took Brunel to the cat show at the Caird Hall in Dundee, he really enjoyed that. He liked all of the cats there, but he liked the big white fluffy one the best! Back at home Brunel played with my cats CD and Rosse. We watched a movie together and Brunel thought it was so scary that he had to hide behind the sofa!

On Sunday we had a lazy day and stayed home, we played on the computer and watched the TV. I think Brunel wants to come back to my house soon.

Nessina sees Chitty Chitty Bang Bang

Nessina saw Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at the Bristol Hippodrome. We sat up high but near the front so we could see the stage really well. My brother got annoyed because the bar was in his way! Nessina wanted to ride the car but she couldn't.

The children got kidnapped by the child catcher when he was disguised as the toy maker. I didn't recognise him either. The king was very greedy because he wanted really good toys each year for his birthday from the toy maker. They were wind up toys although the man and the woman inside were the main characters.

It was scary when the fireworks came out of the stage and went bang! My favourite characters were the two children because they looked really good.Nessina behaved well and enjoyed her crisps during the interval.

Nessina goes to Florida!

At MGM Studios Nessina met her cousin, Nessie! She thought it was weird meeting so far away from home. Nessie was in the water, with a boat, frightening the passengers.
This is Nessina in front of Cinderella's castle. She went inside and saw ballroom and dinning room. She felt like royalty.
Here she is again at Epcot sitting ontop of a plague showing who worked there. Inside the huge ball there is a ride that shows you all different time periods from cavemen to the modern day. Nessina liked the Roman palace best.

This is Nessina ontop of a manatee at Sea World where she went under water in a tunnel and saw lots of different fish and sharks. When she saw the big shark she was quite scared.

This is Nessina when we went to Universal Studios. While she was there she went on lots of rides and had fun watching some 3d films. She saw Spiderman and Terminator which she was a bit scared of.

Nessina had a great time in the heat of Florida as well as having lots of fun. She wished she could go again. So do I!

Brunel enjoys my garden!

Brunel stayed with me from Monday to Friday. I was off school on Friday but my big sister brought him in for me because I knew it was Kirsty’s turn to look after him over the weekend. Miss Hulbert gave me the star badge because I remembered to send him in.

Brunel liked my garden! In the pictures you can see what I mean. First of all, Brunel saw my trampoline and asked me if he could go on it. So, he jumped on and started bouncing and he showed me his forward flip.

Next he wanted to try my see-saw so he sat down on it and started to rock. After that he spotted my goals and wanted to play. He played goalie and I think he could be good! I couldn’t score a goal. In my garden I have lots of trees and without asking Brunel climbed the biggest tree! In the picture he is looking very pleased with himself.

After all that exercise Brunel was hungry and he had an extra big portion of mince pie! What fun we had when Brunel came to stay.

A diary for Brunel

Grant and Brunel’s long weekend together.

Friday night

After school we both played football together and bounced a lot on my trampoline. We were both very tired and went off to bed early.

Saturday

It was a lovely day so my mum and dad decided to have a BBQ. Brunel just loved the steak and chicken and we were so full up we had to take a long nap on our hammock!

Sunday

Brunel visited mum’s stables to see Marouhk our Arab stallion. Brunel wasn't frightened at all, but he didn't like the smell very much. Baxter my cousin’s new puppy visited and they played together until they both fell asleep.

Monday

Brunel came with me to my judo lesson at Mayfield and he watched me practise my Judo moves. Everyone thought he was lovely. Afterwards, we went out for tea and then went home to bed.

Grant

Brunel turns into a Beaver!

Brunel stayed with me for a few days. On Monday night he came to Beavers. We played octopus tig and had fun. Every Tuesday night I play golf with Rory, my brother and his friends. Brunel came along and played with his own mini golf club! We gave Brunel plenty of fruit when he stayed with us. As you can see, he likes apples the best. Brunel sat on my school bag in the morning so he wouldn’t get left at home.

I love Brunel and he loves us!

Brunel stays with Kyle for a week.

Brunel stayed with me before the Easter holidays. We went swimming and afterwards we went out for tea. Brunel came with us. I had a burger but he preferred to have his dog food. Cameron, my little brother really liked Brunel too. Cameron is in Primary 1 and last week he brought home his class-bear Ross. Ross was lucky because it was good weather and we had a bar-be-que!

Do other classes in your school look after bears too?

Kyle

Brunel and Sophie in Spain and at home in the garden!

In the Easter holidays Brunel and I went to Spain.

On the day we left for Spain, we woke up very early to get to the airport. We checked in and then, went for breakfast! An hour later we flew to Palma in Spain. My grandparents live there and we stayed with them. I played with Laura and Luca, my Swiss friends. We did lots of things together, we went swimming, and we played tennis, and after tea we played Monopoly and Ludo.

Brunel came to Spain with me and had lots of fun.

When we came home, the weather was very hot and Brunel had great fun in my garden. Look at the pictures of him having a good time in the bushes, with Bonnie the lab and on my brother's bike!

Nessina's trip to centre parcs

Nessina came to Sherwood Forest for one week. It was very tiring due to all the cycling!
We did lots of activities which Nessina enjoyed very much. First we tried crazy golf which was fun and tricky. Nessina unfortunately found that the gold-putter was too long for her.

Nessina enjoyed the archery most of all. She got a bull's-eye after a few attempts. We enjoyed pretending to be Robin Hood.

Hopefully Nessina won't need to use her new skill with the wildlife.

What do you think?

From Rebecca.
